Be not afraid

A lot of people are really afraid right now, and fear is a natural gut-response to the potential of danger. It’s a gift from God. It amps us up to do things to survive, right? But Jesus also commands us in scripture to not be afraid, to not dwell in fear, to not wallow in fear because as real as the dangers are, the more real reality is that Jesus Christ is still Lord.

He’s still King.

He has still conquered death.

Even if the very worst thing happens to you in the midst of this coronavirus crisis, Jesus conquered death. We have the promise of eternal reward waiting for us on the other side. As you face these things and do what it takes to stay alive, take care to also do what it takes to not give into a spirit of panic, because God is still on His throne.
