Have Courage

Imagine waking up, grabbing your morning coffee, and being told that AN ARMY was surrounding your house. That happened to Elisha the prophet. Minus the coffee. A king had sent an army to surround his town and capture him, but he never lost his confidence. When his servant panicked Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.” His servant looked up and saw the hills around Elisha filled with horses and chariots of fire.

Did you know that every Catholic is anointed as a “prophet” at baptism? And being a prophet means that sometimes people are going to attack you for sharing the truth, even if you do it lovingly. When that happens to you, remember that there’s an army of angels and saints cheering you on; Christians around the world walking with you; and above all, the God of the Universe is on your side.

Jesus said “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
