Our Missionaries of Joy Support our Ministry
On Sunday, September 7, Pope Leo XIV will celebrate the canonization of Blessed Carlo Acutis and Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati at St. Peter’s Square at the Vatican.
Their virtuous example proves that sainthood is something to be strived for and attained by “ordinary” people—from a video game-playing millennial who loved the Eucharist to a mountain-climbing young adult with a heart for the poor and suffering. We’re all called to sainthood…and we can all get there with God’s help.

While leading a pilgrimage to Italy last year, Chris Stefanick was blessed to interview Antonia Salzano—Blessed Carlo Acutis’ mother.
Meeting Mrs. Acutis was an unforgettable experience. She discussed how Carlo’s piety and virtue really saved her, what Carlo was like as a child, his love of the Holy Eucharist, what his final months were like, and how it feels to be the mom of a saint.
Stay tuned to the end, where Mrs. Acutis shares some words of encouragement for parents who have lost children, and a special prayer through Carlo’s intercession to help us grow in love and reverence for the Most Holy Eucharist.
On a recent episode of The Chris Stefanick Show, Chris interviewed Fr. Juan Gutiérrez, who has a miraculous connection to Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati. When Fr. Juan tore his Achilles tendon during a seminary basketball game, he received a divinely inspired thought to pray a novena for complete healing through the intercession of Blessed Frassati.
When stunned doctors found that his Achilles had miraculously recovered, the Vatican opened up an investigation into the miracle, which ultimately paved the way for Frassati’s upcoming canonization.
