EXPLORE THE HOLY LAND
THE REAL LIFE CATHOLIC HOLY LAND PILGRIMAGE
JUNE 14–24, 2020
Going to the Holy Land will change the way you pray.
Change the way you share your faith.
Change your life.
It’s nearly impossible not to be changed when you touch the rock Jesus was crucified on, enter the empty tomb, walk along the Sea of Galilee, and bow to enter the Bethlehem basilica through the small “door of humility.”
Join us on this epic journey in the footsteps of Jesus.
FLY TO TEL AVIV
Your pilgrimage begins with an overnight flight to Tel Aviv. Dinner and breakfast will be served on board. After you arrive, you’ll be transported to your hotel to unpack, relax, and have dinner.
See the archaeological remains of Caesarea. Visit the Carmelite monastery Stella Maris, the Church of St. Joseph and Mary’s Well (the site of the Annunciation), then enjoy dinner in Tiberias.
Jesus Begins His Ministry
Take a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Visit the Mount of Beatitudes, Magdala (the birthplace of Mary Magdalene), and Capernaum. We’ll end the day with dinner at your hotel.
Celebrate Mass at Mount Tabor (the site of the Transfiguration), drive down to Jericho, and visit Jesus’ baptismal site in the Jordan River. We’ll then travel to Jerusalem for dinner and stay overnight.
The Visitation & Nativity
See a model of the Second Temple as it was in the time of Jesus, spend time in Ein Karem (the village where Mary visited Elizabeth), and celebrate Mass in Bethlehem at the Church of the Nativity.
Palm Sunday & the Agony in the Garden
Walk from the Mount of Olives down the Palm Sunday Road and through the Garden of Gethsemane. Visit the Upper Room on Mt. Zion, the Church of the Dormition (where Mary “fell asleep”), and celebrate Mass at the Church of St. Peter Gallicantu.
Early Years in Jerusalem & the Wilderness
Travel down the Jordan Valley to Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Float in the Dead Sea. Go on an excursion through the desert where Jesus fasted for 40 days. We’ll then celebrate Mass in Bethany, where Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead.
The Way of the Cross, The Crucifixion, The Resurrection
Follow the Via Dolorosa (“Way of Grief”). Celebrate Mass at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, which marks the site of the Crucifixion and Jesus’ tomb. We’ll then explore the Old City of Jerusalem.
Depart Tel Aviv
After spending a day at your own leisure, wish everyone “shalom,” then travel to the airport together for our flight home.
